Job Summary

The Computational Biologist participates in developing, improving and maintaining bioinformatics tools for high-throughput processing pipelines. The Computational Biologist specifies, implements, tests and maintains bioinformatics computer applications and systems, and participates in the code walk-throughs and design and review of bioinformatics software solutions. The Computational Biologist will also assist in the packaging and distribution of developed tools and analysis results to the scientific community, and will contribute to the preparation of scientific publications.

The platform manager will perform their duties in line with their expertise for the coordination and planning of research and operational activities at the NB-IHR bioinformatics platform.

Transcriptome Sciences Inc. is seeking an individual for the position of Data Scientist. The candidate will have very strong R programming skills and experience using and developing genomics analysis pipelines, with a publication record demonstrating these skills. Experience with experimental design in genomics and working in a laboratory setting is a requirement. The ability to describe and document complex ideas to technical and non-technical personnel is essential. We are looking for an experienced, full-stack Software Engineer (II) to join our team on a full-time, 12-month contract and help us design and develop products to power breakthrough discoveries in genomics and precision health. We are agile, move quickly, test and deploy continuously.

You can expect to tackle a variety of challenging problems, and design and implement robust, secure, and scalable systems across multiple cloud environments. We work with governments, public health agencies, pharma companies, patient advocacy groups, diagnostic providers, and academic researchers, tackling neuroscience, oncology, and other specialty specific areas.
