A full-time position is available in Toronto, at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network. The successful candidate will be supervised by Dr. Razq Hakem and Dr. Gary Bader and will support bioinformatics/computational biology efforts of the principal investigators in our PMCC Cancer Biology and Imaging program. The successful candidate will help organize, plan, analyze, and interpret the results from a variety of exciting projects.

Position Overview: Reporting to the Medical Director at Shared Hospital Laboratory, this person will assist and provide support for the bioinformatics analysis of bacterial and viral pathogens that are of relevance to SHL and develop a research program relevant to the strategic plan of SHL.

Under the supervision of Dr. S. Jacquemont, the Bioinformatician/Data Manager will be responsible for identifying, annotating, and analyzing genetic variants from genotyping and sequencing data (exome and whole genome). The project explores the impact of genetic variants on cognition, behavior, and psychiatric and neurodevelopmental traits.

The Office of the Associate Dean in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for two (2) Intermediate Programmer Analyst(s). This Full-time Fixed Term position is for approximately 12 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.

Reporting to the Manager, Bioinformatics.

The CHGI bioinformatics team provides sequencing project design, quality control, statistical analysis, public repository submission, and biological interpretation services (linking new results to known results in the literature) to users of the Cumming School of Medicine’s core CHGI sequencing facility.
