CHU de quebec -
This full-time fixed term position is for approximately 12 months (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension. The Bioinformatician will report directly to Arnaud Droit, principal investigator and director of the computational biology laboratory. The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team focused on developing and applying computational methods in various other OMICs-type projects, including cancer research, microbial metagenomics or proteomics. The team uses state-of-the-art methods to analyse high throughput sequencing to analyze patient cohorts and identify biomarker signatures that could potentially serve as diagnostic markers. These methods include standard bioinformatics protocols, but also more advanced approaches relying on machine learning and deep learning. The position will take place in a context of an international collaboration with a private partner. It will start as soon as possible. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Ontario Institute for Cancer Research -
The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is seeking a Bioinformatician II to join the PanCuRx team at OICR. The PanCuRx Program is a translational research initiative that aims to significantly improve the lives of patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma by generating new knowledge about genetic and biologic subsets of disease, mechanisms of tumorigenesis, and unique treatment options. We are generating multiple independent genomic analyses, including next-generation whole genome and whole transcriptome sequencing. Rich clinical annotation is also available for these samples, and analyses are performed on cutting-edge IT infrastructure including a multi-petabyte storage system and 6,500-core compute cluster.

Western University -
The Dumeaux lab (https://lab-dumeaux.science/) uses high-throughput genomics assays (incl single-cell genomics and metagenomics) coupled with data science to predict benefit from lifestyle and therapeutic interventions. One primary focus is on the investigation of the individual’s immune response and microbiome.
The lab is (re)opening in April 2022 at Western University, London, Ontario (Canada). As we embark in this new journey, we have several graduate positions available for individual interested in health data science and single-cell molecular profiling.
