Proposals for CBW 2026 now open!

This year we are seeking two types of submissions:

  • New workshop proposals: For individuals who are ready to prepare a detailed workshop plan describing the audience, course outline and potential faculty. Learn more.
  • Project-specific training needs: For individuals who are aware of project-specific training needs (e.g. skills related to a national CIHR-funded project) but aren’t ready to submit a full proposal. Learn more.

If you have any questions about how to get involved in workshop development, please email training@bioinformatics.ca.

Review and evaluation

The Education Advisory Board reviews all workshop proposals in November each year. Proposals meeting our criteria will be invited to schedule a workshop in the coming season.

Can you tell us about a training need?

This year, we are also seeking insight into training needs from individuals conducting national projects relevant to Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Data Science (BCBDS). If you have identified a BCBDS training gap, but aren’t ready to complete a full workshop proposal, please complete the CBW Training Need Form to help us start a collaboration with you.
