Description:

Dr. Pingzhao Hu at The Department of Biochemistry at Western University has funded graduate student (MSc or Ph.D.) positions in Bioinformatics/Statistical Genetics. More information can be found at http://www.hu-bioinformaticslab.org/positions.html. Please be noted that my lab will be moving to Western University on September 1, 2022.

Responsibilities:

Develop and apply machine learning, deep learning approaches, and statistical methods to integrate multiple complex health data to build risk prediction models, identify biomarkers, and design pipelines for drug discovery (repurposing, design).

Qualifications:
  • The successful candidates should have a strong background in broadly defined life science, medicine, or chemistry
  • be familiar with R or Python programming or you can learn them quickly.
  • Excellent GPA
  • Excellent writing skill
  • Strong self-motivation
