The successful candidate will support a dynamic interdisciplinary team of scientists and trainees in the area of cancer genomics and precision medicine.
The successful Research Associate will co-lead projects, contribute to and lead the analysis of unique and large-scale sequencing datasets (including single-cell and long-read sequencing), and build and nurture collaborations with internal and external investigators. Responsibilities will include the design and application of robust computational workflows to analyze large-scale ‘omics data, particularly single cell data. The Research Associate will be involved in a range of projects in both supporting and co-leading capacities, with opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to research directly and indirectly.
Applicants are expected to have completed their PhD in a relevant discipline such as bioinformatics or genome science and have at least five years of experience in a closely related research field, such as cancer research. They are required to have a strong computational background coding in R and/or Python in a Unix/Linux environment, be familiar with single-cell genomics dataset analysis, and have demonstrated a rigorous ability to extract both biological and technical information from large-scale high-throughput sequencing datasets. Applicants must also have a strong publication record that demonstrates their strength in genomic dataset analysis.
Interested applicants should submit a letter of application that highlights their experience, a detailed curriculum vitae including a list of publications, and contact details for 3 references. Application materials should be submitted no later than the posting end date.
