Become an Instructor
Joining CBW
The Canadian Bioinformatics Workshops (CBW) invites applications from enthusiastic instructors and teaching assistants. In line with our mission to address regional needs, we are particularly interested in experts located in cities where specific workshops are needed. For this call, preference will be given to instructors who can attend workshops with minimal travel, not requiring accommodation.
What you need to know about CBW
- Taught by a faculty team of instructors and teaching assistants.
- The materials already exist, and can be adapted by the faculty team. There is no need to develop content from scratch.
- Our workshops last from 2 – 5 days each, with the teaching hours spread across members of the faculty team to fit individual schedules.
- 70% of the workshop time is spent doing hands-on exercises.
- Every workshop requires at least two months of commitment prior to the workshop date to adapt and update existing content.
