Postdoctoral position in cancer genomics

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Computational Genomics Laboratory (http://functionalgenomics.ca), Lady Davis Institute of Medical Research and the Hepatopancreatobiliary Cancer Immunology Laboratory (http://icm.qc.ca/en/recherche-scientifique/chercheurs/dr-simon-turcotte....), Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal Research Centre.

The research will focus on the application of genomic technologies to understand the immune response in metastatic cancer disease. The successful candidate will conceive and implement algorithms and analytical approaches to identify immune and oncogenic pathways in high-dimensional data.

Qualifications and Experience
• We are looking for a very motivated individual capable of carrying out independent research, and to interact in a collaborative setting at the intersection of immunology and computational biology.

• PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, biostatistics or a related field, or a PhD in biological sciences with proven experience in computational analysis of large datasets. 

• Strong programming skills are essential 

• Experience within one of the following areas is an asset, but not required: genomics, immunology, cancer genomics, statistical interpretation and analysis of next-generation sequencing datasets.
