Job Description: 

The Cassone and LeMoine labs are seeking a highly motivated MSc student with an interest and experience in bioinformatics to carry out a series of collaborative projects related to animal and microbial system biology.

The successful applicant will perform analysis and interpretation of next generation sequencing data, including gene expression and small RNA analysis, de novo transcriptome and genome assemblies, and 16S microbial genomics. As we are collaboratively working with a wide range of organisms and physiological contexts, we are looking for a student with an interest in gaining experience in organismal and system biology using these analytical tools. Prior experience with the various steps of bioinformatics pipeline is preferred to ensure a quick start to the research project. This will be an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience across diverse organisms and computational techniques with a limitless potential for publications.
