Postdoctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning
The McGill University and Genome Quebec Innovation Centre, and Bioinformatics laboratory at the Université du Québec à Montréal are recruiting a postdoctoral fellow in Bioinformatics and Machine Learning. Our goal is to apply machine learning/deep learning algorithms in order to improve the prediction and classification performance of existing methods used in screening technologies. The topics of interests include, but are not limited to: 1) Prediction of hits and bioactivities in HTS (High Throughput Screening)/HCS (High Content Screening) technologies with increased levels of accuracy (see for example: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41563-019-0338-z); 2) Prediction of off-target mutations in CRISPR genes (see for example: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6129261/). Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in bioinformatics, computer science, statistics or related areas, with an expertise in machine learning. Candidates with a PhD in biology, or related discipline, with a computational and machine learning expertise, are also encouraged to apply. Strong analytical and programming skills are highly desirable.
