Bioinformatics / applied to Immunology and microbiome fields

The project will combine immunological methods, system biology approaches to unravel the relationship of microbiota and immune system in pediatric diseases. The project focuses mainly on human newborn immunology of regulatory cells and deals with cohorts of child patients/healthy controls in order to define biomarkers of disease outcome. You will be working with a small team and building something together with other computational biologists in the different teams of our center.


The suitable candidate will have to develop and execute computational strategies for interpretation of DNA data obtained with single-molecule and long-read sequencing technologies, including the development of statistical analyses, as well as the design and implementation of efficient analytical pipelines. Develop and implement novel data visualization strategies.


• PhD in life sciences, computational biology, statistical biology, bioinformatics. • Skilled in programming in R and Python. • Basic knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing data and single cell data.
