Postdoc in computational mass spectrometry, proteomics and immunopeptidomics

We are seeking applications from highly motivated candidates for a postdoctoral position in computational mass spectrometry at the CHU Sainte Justine Research Center at the University of Montreal.

The Caron lab ( is interested in developing and applying next-generation mass spectrometry technologies (data-independent acquisition or SWATH-MS) to advance the field of cancer immunotherapy. The Caron lab uses proteomics, immunopeptidomics and computational mass spectrometry approaches to identify protein biomarkers of response and relapse to checkpoint immunotherapy and to identify new forms of tumor neoantigens to design innovative anti-cancer vaccines for the treatment of refractory patients.

The Caron lab is co-founder of the international Human Immuno-Peptidome Project ( and we develop the SysteMHC Atlas project ( to enable “Big Immuno-Peptidomic Data” research. Our multidisciplinary research program is highly collaborative by nature and we aim to have a significant impact on patient care worldwide.


  • Develop his/her own computational method(s) to identify new forms of neoantigens
  • Collaborate with other lab members to analyse large proteomics and immunopeptidomics datasets
  • Coordinate the transfer of the SysteMHC Atlas project in collaboration with the group of Prof Ruedi Aebersold


  • PhD in computer science, bioinformatics or a related field.
  • Programing skills (Python, R, Java, C, C++ or equivalent) is a prerequisite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English is required; French is a plus.
