AUGUSTUS is a eukaryotic gene prediction tool. It can integrate evidence, e.g. from RNA-Seq, ESTs, proteomics, but can also predict genes ab initio. The PPX extension to AUGUSTUS can take a protein sequence multiple sequence alignment as input to find new members of the family in a genome. It can be run through a web interface, or downloaded and run locally.

This C / C++ tutorial, divided into 40 lessons, has been designed to help the beginners learn the C / C++ programming language quickly. Most of the basic concepts of C / C++ programming like variables, data types, expressions, conditionals, repetitions structures, switch, functions, arrays, pointers, string handling, file handling and structures are explained in simple language. This C / C++ programming tutorial assumes no prior programming experience.

Dragon Database of Genes associated with Prostate Cancer (DDPC) as an integrated knowledgebase of genes experimentally verified as implicated in PC. DDPC is distinctive from other databases in that (i) it provides pre-compiled biomedical text-mining information on PC, which otherwise require tedious computational analyses, (ii) it integrates data on molecular interactions, pathways, gene ontologies, gene regulation at molecular level, predicted transcription factor binding sites on promoters of PC implicated genes and transcription factors that correspond to these binding sites and (iii) it contains DrugBank data on drugs associated with PC.

The datasets list genes, environmental risk factors and autoantibodies in a number of polygenic diseases and provide KEGG pathway analysis etched out by susceptibility genes. Host/pathogen interactions are also characterised for herpes simplex, helicobacter pylori and the HIV-1/AIDS virus.
